Aim of Study	WHY DO WE NEED DONOR EGGS Some women are unable to produce their own eggs. This might be because they have gone through the menopause early – as young as 20. Some of our patients have had chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer which has left them infertile. Other women have genetic conditions which they do not want to pass on to their children. Unless a donor comes forward we are unable to help them.
Inclusion Criteria	WHO CAN DONATE You should be under 36 years of age, in good health, preferably having had your own family and with no history of genetic disorders. Many women consider donating their eggs when they are sterilised for example.

Duration	WHAT IS INVOLVED Donating eggs requires commitment. There are daily injections – which we can train you to do – and you will need to come in to CARE probably 3 or 4 times for ultrasound scans and blood tests. At the appropriate time, eggs are collected by a simple procedure. After a few hours you can go home.
Reimbursement	CARE will compensate you up to £250 for loss of earnings as well as covering your expenses.

Study 1190 :' Do You Have An Allergic Reaction To Jewellery ' ? Manchester
Type of Study	Healthy female volunteers aged over 18 are required to participate in a study looking at how diet can affect the contact hypersensitivity response.
Aim of Study	We are performing studies to see if including a type of fish oil in your diet will affect skin allergies caused by jewellery that contains nickel.
Inclusion Criteria	Female, 18-55 years Skin type I/II (on balance, burn more than tan) Reporting an allergy to jewellery containing nickel (we will formally test as part of the involvement)
Exclusion Criteria	History of atopy History of skin cancer History of a photosensitivity disorder Sunbathing (including sunbeds) in the past 3 months Pregnancy History of cardiac disease Taking photoactive medication Not able to eat fish or gelatine Taking fish oil supplements prior to the study consuming more than 3 meals containing oily fish per week

Duration	The study will start early 2009 and recruitment will finish summer 2010. However, volunteer involvement will be for 3 and a half months with approx 6 visits during that time.

Other Info	We are performing studies to see how effective ultraviolet light is at raising the body’s vitamin D level. The studies involve measuring individual sunlight exposure levels, giving ultraviolet light treatments, and assessing vitamin D production through blood samples. People of South Asian skin type (ie: from families originating from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh) are required for the study. Reimbursement is available for the time and inconvenience involved.
