IMPORTANT INFORMATION
IF YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT THIS PAGE WITHOUT FIRST COMPLETING THE INSTANT ELIGIBILITY TEST ON THE MENU BAR, DO THIS FIRST AND THEN RETURN TO THIS PAGE.This will also register you on our database for trial alerts should clinics researchers e-mail our database.
BIOTRAX WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE SUBSCRIBERS OF OUR PUBLICATIONS IN THE PAST FOR HELPING TO BUILD ONE OF THE MOST CONSIDERATE SERVICES IN WORLD MEDICAL RESEARCH ALLOWING ALL RESEARCH SUBJECTS TO MAKE LESS PRESSURED AND COMFORTABLE DECISIONS
WE ALSO THANK THE CONTRIBUTING CLINICS AND RESEARCHERS OVER THE MANY YEARS FOR THEIR VALUED SUPPORT TOWARDS THE BETTERMENT OF US MEDICAL RESEARCH
UNFORTUNATLY WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE STAFF TO ASSIST WITH GENERAL PUBLIC ENQUIRIES UNDER OUR NEW SYSTEM AS THIS WILL NOT BE VIABLE ON SUCH A LARGE SCALE UNTIL SUCH A TIME WE FIND ENOUGH CONTRIBUTING CLINICS
PLEASE READ ALL SPECIFIC INCLUSIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLICATION AS YOU COULD BE WAISTING YOUR TIME AND OTHERS
Where clinics, researchers who can afford to contribute to our quest to help the sufferers of medical conditions, chronic illness and your civil liberties and human rights to make comfortable decisions over the research activities you participate in, will soon be marked as contributors. You will also find many individual researchers cannot afford internet presence, or their own web sites so BioTrax helps to bring you information which is NOT freely available on the net and provides these researchers with free representation to volunteers and their own Mini Webs. Non invasive research there is no need for medical checks. Generally speaking if you pass our eligibility test you will be eligible for many different types of research.
It Important for you to understand that in certain circumstances ethics will not allow the printing of the financial rewards under NIH ethics committies and for good reason. Ethics despite their decisions are in fact the basic foundation blocks of our industry and should not be challanged by portal sites who print the financial rewards or exagerate the financial rewards on behalf of clinics on legal loop holes. Those that can print the financial rewards in certain circumstances will do so but not as a general advertisment for all medical research as portal web sites should not advertise the financial rewards at all to be representive as an industry as a whole with the exeption of less invasive research. As a general rule of thumb you will learn about the reimbursements for your time and incovenience at the point of contact with the clinic or at the point of NOTES FOR VOLUNTEERS which BioTrax will continue to upload on certain studies but only where complicated explanations may not be required.
WHEN APPLYING FOR REAL TIME STUDIES,APPLY FIRST AND CONTACT SECOND. The Hotline Number will be shown after application in most cases, or where clinics have their own volunteer sites a link may be provided and all details will be supplied.

Volunteers must be able to attend the clinic in Missouri. | | Duration | A typical study would require a study participant to stay at our clinic a minimum of two times (referred to as Period I and Period II), usually about 36 to 48 hours at a time. One dose of the generic or brand name medication would be given to each study participant during Periods I and II. After receiving the medication, several blood draws are taken (usually between 15 and 20) during that day. You may be required to come back for subsequent blood draws once or twice a day for a few days after you leave the study. The total amount of blood taken throughout the entire study is usually less than what is collected by the Red Cross at one time. The majority of our studies are performed on weekends (typically you would check in on a Friday evening about 7:30 p.m. and leave Sunday morning about 7 a.m., or come in Saturday evening and leave Monday morning). We also have studies during the week.
| | Reimbursement | Compensation for studies varies, depending on length of time, number of return blood draws required, etc. The average study usually pays around $500, but can vary from $300 to $4,000.
| | Other Info | Accommodations during your stay include dormitory-style bunkrooms, private showers, cable TV, VCR, pool table, movies, board games and visiting hours. We have a quiet room for reading or studying, and areas where you can plug in your computer if you wish to bring it in (sorry, no Internet access). Food is catered. Due to the fact that we are performing metabolism studies, you are not allowed to bring in snacks or beverages; everyone is required to eat the same food at the same time.
