Type of Study	BIPOLAR TWIN STUDY AT THE INSTITUTE OF PSYCHIATRY, KING'S COLLEGE LONDON. NON INVASIVE RESEARCH
Aim of Study	This research is designed to increase our understanding of these complex psychiatric disorders and to help inform future therapies for them.
Inclusion Criteria	Volunteers Required. Identical or Non-Identical. We are looking for same-sex twin pairs where one or both twins have Manic-Depression (Bipolar Disorder), or Schizophrenia. Twins must be native English speakers. Our research involves some psychological tasks (e.g. defining words and solving different kinds of problems).
Area	Assignments take place in London and recuit nationally . All travel expenses are paid within the UK and a contribution can be made if you are coming from overseas.
Duration	How much of my time will the study take? Your participation will be completed after 2 interviews (these can be conducted over the phone, or sometimes in person), 1 to 2 visits at the Institute of Psychiatry in south east London, Denmark Hill(each day will take 3-5 hours including a lunch break), and the completion of some questionnaires at your leisure. I am working full time. Can I still participate? Yes. The interviews and questionnaires can be carried out in your free time, and one or both of your visits can take place on a Saturday or Sunday.
Reimbursement	All expenses paid plus we give a small 'Thank you' for your time.

Aim of Study
Inclusion Criteria	• Healthy Males aged 18 to 45 • In good health with no on-going medical conditions • BMI up to 31, not less than 50kg • Must not suffer with sleep problems • Males with female partners of child bearing potential must agree to use a double bearing method of contraception • Should not suffer with anxiety/depression or current allergies to food/drugs • Should not have a history of alcohol or drug abuse within the past 2 years • Cannot be a shift worker (e.g. work before 7am or after 8pm) or travelled or intending to travel 2 hour outside GMT, during the study period • Very light or non smokers, no more than 5 cigarettes per week during the past month and not to smoke during the admission periods • Should not have taken part in a clinical trial within 90 days • Not to have late bedtime and wake times • Able to eat a standard diet, vegetarian option available • Must be currently registered with a contactable Doctor/GP • Able to complete computer assessments throughout the study
