Aim of Study	GAP STUDY SUMMARY The main aim of the GAP study is to understand the causes of serious mental disorder. This is being done by comparing a representative sample of the population living in south-east London with patients recruited from local mental health services. For this reason, the GAP study is in need of volunteers from the local population of south-east London. The GAP assessment for community volunteers includes interviews of social and family history, tests of cognitive abilities, and the sampling of biological markers. All aspects of the study are voluntary and all information collected is confidential and anonymous. If you do choose to participate, we will compensate you for your time.
Inclusion Criteria	Participants must be between the ages of 18-65 with no history of psychotic illness. Residents of South London.
